HOW TO USE AIRBNB SUCCESSFULLY
Airbnb is one of my favorite ways to find nice accommodation and reasonable prices. This fast growing lodging site has provided me with some great memories and saved me money along the way.
Airbnb has exploded in the past couple of years.
What Airbnb provides
It is a website that people can rent out their homes or lodgings and can communicate to people that would like to stay through the website.
While there are many other sites that you can use, Airbnb is definitively the biggest one of them all and probably the safest due to this.
Using Airbnb allows you to stay in some really funky places, like castles, tree houses, can boats and lots more. And you pay nearly of of your money to the owner, which allows the owner to benefit from the transaction and not the company between.
Where you can use Airbnb
Airbnb is global and you can use anywhere. If you are wanting to stay in a cool place, like Knotting Hill, London, you can search that place and find a flat there.
Airbnb prices are far less inflated than Hotels and provided a fairer price, in my experience.
In my travel experience, when air bnb first started it was often cheaper than budget travel accommodation on the same street. However prices have started to rise a bit.
Is Airbnb safe
Airbnb has lots of safety measures, such as the guests require to be verified with ID before they can use the platform.
Both guest and the landlord receive reviews, so that other people can see if they would like to use them.
Airbnb has 24/7 customer service that you can call anytime.
Just remember nowhere is 100% safe, to reduce your chances of a bad experience, fill out your profile properly including your profile picture and look at previous reviews. If the majority of people say its bad or good, it probably is.
I tend to stay in Airbnb’s for a month, due to the landlord sometimes heavily discounting the price if you stay a month.
The Bangkok Airbnb in the pictures below, I stay for a whole month and ended up only paying £375.
