Graveyards before Hallesches Tor

There are six cemeteries that have been established there by various Berlin parishes since the beginning of the 18th century, at that time just outside the city gates. One of them is Cemetery I of the Berlin Trinity Parish (Friedhof I der Dreifaltigkeitsgemeinde), where over twenty members of the Mendelssohn family are buried.
